Sharing a mutual love of Detroit Techno, Chicago House, Hip Hop, UK Garage and Bashment, they‘ve honed a unique blend of tough, soulful music, that has a twinkle in it‘s eye and a wiggle in it‘s rear end.

James Levy's album, "Pray To Be Free", was produced by Coldplay bassist Guy Berryman, and features Allison Pierce from sibling duo The Pierces. Berryman hand-picked the songs to be included on the album from a collection of more than 50 Levy-penned tracks. The album has the feel of a modern day Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra, in part down to Levy and Pierces long term friendship.

A bedroom producer of classic yet contemporary disco and synth-funk gems, Ronika started out writing sould tunes on an acoustic guitar in Nottingham. At the age of 14 she went to her first techno all-nighter in Brixton which ignited her interest in programming beats and DJing at clubs and house parties. Her 3 self released singles to datae have generated extensive press coverage with titles from NME to The Guardian singing her praises. 2012 is destined to be the year Ronika breaks through in a major way.

JEB LOY NICHOL

The Jeb Loy Nichols Special is Jeb's ninth solo album, his first release on a major label since Lover's Knot on Capitol in 1997. In the years since then, he has made records with the likes of Adrian Sherwood, Dan Penn and Dennis Bovell. The original vinyl release of ...Special was conceived as a collaboration with his friend, the respected illustrator Rob Ryan, who provided cover work for the album. Musically, Jeb Loy Nichols Special twists the radio dial gracefully through the very best in Southern soul, reggae, folk and blues. Recorded in an analogue studio in Dollis Hill with producer Benedic Lamdin and Nostalgia 77, a band of jazz musicians, the goal was to make a record that captured the rawness of the performance on the day.

Wymewold's most prolific band return with a new album for Moshi Moshi - Long Black Cars - due in April. The album was recorded in Brooklyn and features many of the band's friends including Turner Cody and The WoWz. The single, Eskimo Kiss, precedes the album - with drummer Jonny 'Huddersfield' Helm taking on lead vocals.
